New bags for London and blog news!

Hello! Check out my new blog! It's so CLEAN. The one I had before was very tiny and hard to read even for me, so I decided to upgrade. You can also email me now at evelovesthings@gmail.com, and follow me on Bloglovin! Bloglovin is a site that lets you follow and discover blogs and read them in a feed (and it's photo-based so your eyes will rejoice)!

In other news, guess what I just bought?!

In the most shocking news you ever heard, I went out last weekend and bought MORE BAGS! My poor little Fox one was starting to come apart at the seams, and was actually pretty flimsy and not ideal for stashing my $1500 laptop. BUT THIS THING. It's the Recon backpack from North Face and it's unreal. I've been trying to buy well made bags that will last a long time, and this one will probably outlive me. There's a laptop, iPad, and iPhone pocket, hip and chest straps so all the weight isn't on your shoulders, and plenty of room to stash your brand new inflatable neck pillow.

Just LOOK at the color of the straps. PINK.* This bag was made for me. I shall call you Christopher.

*I actually edited the crap out of these pictures because the straps were showing up orange when in real life they are more red/hot pink. Some kind of in between color nonsense, I dunno.

I have a really nice L.L. Bean luggage set, but unfortunately the garment bag and large suitcase are so big that I really wouldn't be able to wrangle either of them by myself. The large regular suitcase is crazy heavy, and Heathrow has these turnstile things on the way to the London-bound trains that keep you from bringing obnoxiously large bags, and I can just see myself trying to squeeze through those things and trying to lift it up onto the train...no. No sir.

I had been eyeing duffel bags for a while, and right after I got my Recon bag I spotted these Gregory duffels. This one is perfect because it has shoulder straps, so I can ferret through the turnstiles without hurting myself. I've already packed up almost all my stuff and I can carry it around without sinking to the floor or tipping over. And it rolls up and can be stuffed into a mesh bag 9 x 6 x 4 inches. Who thinks of these things?!

Other than waiting on some clothing items to come in the mail, I am ready to go. Right now. This instant. I even bought a travel perfume atomizer to put my Burberry London perfume in so let's GO RIGHT NOW! AAAHHHH!
